Life is Short: The Sage Advice of My Yoga Mat

My yoga mat is falling apart. I bought it on sale at a T.J. Maxx about three years ago, and it leaves little flakes of itself wherever I take it, but I just can't bring myself to throw it out.

Why?

Statement Yoga Mats
This is your life. Do what you love.

Because it has really good advice. Every time I roll it out, it reminds me of certain idealisms (some perhaps unrealistic; I prefer to live as an optimist). Here they are:

This is your life.
Do what you love, and do it often.
If you don't like your job, quit.
If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV.
If you are looking for the love of your life, stop. They will be waiting for you when you start doing the things you love. *Disclaimer: Hey. I didn't say it was grammatically correct.
Stop over-analyzing. Live is simple.
All emotions are beautiful.
When you eat, appreciate every bite.
Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people. We are united in our differences.
Ask the next person you see what their passion is and share your passion with them.
Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once. Seize them.
Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them. So go out and start creating.
Live your dream, and wear your passion.
Life is short.

We could all stand to open our minds to much of this advice. Here's to wearing your passion! And to yoga;). A/J
